About Muscazine

Muscazine is an online source for local news about Muscatine. We don't often cover everything, the Journal usually does that. We try to cover the more unique, special projects and events happening throughout Muscatine - the type that might not make it into newsprint. This is sort of a spare-time project, so we don't always have a lot of new stories, and we appreciate any contributions or story-ideas you may have.

We also like to offer a lot of fun features with our news. We're working on offering free Muscatine classified ads, pages for businesses, community organization tools, among other things. We've already made it so that if you Sign Up you can get email alerts of each new news story we post, and you can leave comments on our stories as well. We're also working on an SMS/text message system that will allow you to be alerted in the case of breaking news or severe weather.
